I've noticed something weird with ants. We're currently having an ant invasion here at home and it's driving me nuts since they're crawling around on the computer desk. At one instance, I got bored. The ants were trailing up the wall. When an innocent ant came up to go up the wall, I blocked its way. I thought it would go under my palm instead of staying where it is but it did. Maybe it couldn't get through? Anyway, it went spinning in circles and then eventually turned back from its original destination. It was crawling down the wall instead. Along its way down, it ran into two ants. The first one didn't mind the ant that ran into it and continued on its way. The second one got confused like the ant that ran into it (I guess... It sure looked that way.) and followed the first confused ant down the wall. Soon, I saw ants going around in circles at random times and, now, some of them were trailing down while others were crawling up.
Lame story, eh? Well, here's what I saw of it. Ants seem to be very coordinated unless someone distracts them from whatever they're doing. They looked so funny, by the way. I was amused with watching them. Was I being sadistic? Oh well, what's done is done. I guess that other people would think that it's just a silly story. But, in a way, it shows me how different and similar we are to the ants at the same time. In our world today, if you make a mistake, no one really cares. All you have to do is keep it moving even though you have no idea where you're going. (Although, it helps if you do.) On the other hand, if you're in a middle of an operation that's needed to be done step by step and you're in charge of, let's say, step number five (out of fifteen steps), chances are the operation will be a complete and utter failure. Not only will you be missing step number five, but you would be dragging some other steps to a failure as well. So... Yeah, all about ants.
I've just learned to stay by a new saying. If you should know, English is just my second language. (I think so...) So, I decided to go by the saying "If talked to in a certain language, answer in that certain language." I know it contradicts. What if you don't know how to speak in the language you're asked in? Then, just apologize in English since you don't know what they're saying and walk away. It's not your fault if they didn't understand you. After all, English is the universal language. If they realize that you know English and they know English as well, then they'll talk to you in English. It's complicated. I could go on and on about explaining it but, unfortunately, I feel ill today.
I made up with my boy best friend. Now, we're back to being best buddies! It wasn't really that hard to make up with him. It only took a simple "Sorry" and a sad face before he says "That's okay" and we continue being the way we were before we started fighting.
My girl best friend, Shana, is going to summer camp tomorrow. She's staying there for five days. I am waiting for the day she comes back home. I am anxiously waiting for her arrival (even though she hasn't left yet).
About the stories... I'm still not feeling like writing one. So, I'll probably just write one when I feel like it. I'm being totally selfish, right? Well, that's me. ;)
I have a new song stuck in my head. It's "Who Knew" by Pink. It really speaks to me. It's a fantastic song. I actually have new songs stuck in my head almost every week. So, it's no surprise if I'm going to post about another song next week.
I was listening to the radio this morning and the DJ mentioned something about this article on the Internet. So, I checked it out. It was about how your food cravings tell about your personality. It's mostly true. If you want to check it out for yourself, here's the link: LINK
That's about it. Wow, I guess I get more ideas for blog posts if I feel ill. Thanks for reading! :)
